Wine
Falkenstein Liebfraumilch 5.85/18
Falkenstein, meaning “Falcon’s Rock” hails from Germany’s Rheinhessen region.
This white wine is
semi-sweet Riesling that is versatile and food friendly.
Domaine Jean Bousquet Malbec 8.95/34
Malbec is Argentina’s prime grape. Opaque violet, almost
black color typical of top quality Argentine Malbec. Intense rich aromas of
blackberry fruit with spicy black pepper notes and blackcurrant. Very balanced
and elegant wine with expression of pure fruit, with raspberry, blackberry, and
fig flavors flowing over notes of chocolate, graphite and mineral. Good acidity
with supple mouth feel and excellent structure and length. This wine goes well
with red meats, pasta dishes, meats with sauces, cheese and chocolate.
Affentaler Riesling 8.95/34
This
sweet, white wine comes from Affental which is located approximately 10 km south
of Baden-Baden and is a district of the city of Bühl. The Affental grape-growing
land belongs to the viticultural area of Baden, Germany’s southern-most
wine-growing regions.
Here amid the warmth of the Rhine River at the foot of the Black Forest, spring
begins early. Warm granite-weathered soil on the steep Black Forest precipices
and strong loess terrain on the soft foothills are best suited for the
cultivation of Pinot Noir and Rieslings.
